A major update for HITMAPS.com has been released! See the most notable changes, as well as the full list of changes below.
Mission Variants
Prior to today, a couple of missions (namely, “The Showstopper” and “Nightcall”) had a professional-difficulty map and a master-difficulty map. Maintaining these maps were somewhat difficult, as two maps needed to be updated simultaneously in most cases. This was going to be problematic down-the-road if we wanted to add more master-difficulty maps.
Therefore, we are introducing “Mission Variants”. If a map has more than one variant, a new dropdown is available above the search box, allowing you to select which variant of the mission you want to see. This could be a different difficulty level for the main mission, an elusive target, an escalation, or whatever else it may be. This change will allow HITMAPS to support more maps, without much additional overhead.

New Item Information Modal
We have also refreshed the popup that appears when clicking on an item. Rather than seeing the classic bubble that has been around since 2018…

…you will now be greeted with a new modal layout, which should look strikingly similar to the item details display within HITMAN 3:

Improved Mobile Experience
It is pretty safe to say that the mobile experience on HITMAPS has been lackluster to say the least. However, we have made some changes to hopefully improve the experience.

As you can see, we have moved the floor select to the bottom-right corner, so it is visible without having to enter the menu first. Speaking of menus, we have replaced the single hamburger menu icon with several new icons. From left-to-right, these are:
- HITMAPS Logo – takes you back to the HITMAPS.com homepage
- Mission variant select
- Item search
- Disguise list
- Layer/item toggle
- Language select
The search box will be displayed by default, as most users are coming to the site to search for a specific item. All of the other sidebar items are now tucked away in their respective sections, making it easier to find the specific section of the sidebar you wish to work with. You can also expand as few or as many of these sections as you’d like.
